Marni Moment In Milan

The Sartorialist is a near-daily stop and sometimes I'll spy a photo that makes me stop in my tracks. I'm inspired.

First of all, those Marni platforms. I love that they don't match. I have a similar pair with the top strap sitting low on the ankle. It elongates the leg in the most flattering way. Their shoes are so fashion forward the style is more timeless than trendy (so I think I can still get away with my pairs from a few seasons back.)

I love the blue paired with black. I need an oversized vest (sleeveless coat?) like this one and my goodness.. the gloves, that clutch and the hair! She kills it!

I really need to get a pair of those rubberized pants. By the time I make a move they'll be passe.

Escapism

Me: Bedraggled. Bedridden.
This photo: Beguiling.

I spied this on thesartorialist a few days ago. I love every inch of this Vogue editor's look. It must be nice to have the pick of every designer for free! Note to self: Next life, find a job in fashion.

Her shoes are my favorite part of this look. I had a pair of chunky black heels last winter that are still en vogue, yet I fear I've worn them into the ground. These below are Marni.. the same designer she's wearing...

Love these YSL shoes. I'm strangely drawn to the blue!

I love these Christian Louboutins.

The Face Hunter

I love these styles! They're from The Face Hunter. They are young, colorful & fun. Interestingly enough, I discovered the blog on The Sartorialist. Another fashion blogger who spies gorgeous outfits. They're usually classic with muted colors.
These are for a younger demographic.

The SartoriaList

If you are like me & love to people watch, here's the most fantastic website.

You know when you see someone walking down the street or in the mall wearing an outfit that you're dying to wear yourself?

This website has some seriously stylish people, and I just looked at the author's bio and realized he's a fashion photographer - but all of these photos are of regular folks. How wonderful!
