Man Cave: The Essentials

Huge couch and flat screen tv?  Check.
Mini fridge stocked with beer?   Check.
Arcade games and pool table?  Check.

Below is a list of Robert's other demands (that make me want one for myself).

A fully-stocked bar.

This Marantz receiver with a pair of outrageous speakers.

Banksy's Morons on the wall.

A framed photo of Dean Martin.

An Eames lounger with Cole & Son birch wallpaper.  (Okay, that was my suggestion, but Robert didn't mind!)

Wait For the Beep

Pick a color. Any color.  Which business card do you think works best for me?  Would love your input.

They're sold here: http://madebygirl.com/  (along with lots of other pretty paper products and posters.)

The Swankiest House in Hollywood

Not my words.  This is according to Elle Decor.  I have to wholeheartedly agree, since the home is after all... Casa Marques.

Click here for the slideshow, with pics of the before (scary) and afters (stunning).

No Vacancy

This rundown motel in Hollywood is the perfect setting for a grindhouse film.

Tiny Bubbles

I'm dreaming of the perfect bath. Isn't it the best to have a good soak in a great bath & primp at a fantastic vanity?
This design below is by Kelly Wearstler and has remained my favorite for several years.

I love all of the storage, the simple subway tiles in an unusual pattern... the carrera marble tiles going down the remainder of the wall. (I love that the look was done a while ago and still looks smart.)

The bath below has too much baby blue for my taste, but I like the mirrors, the tile, storage and cheerful feel of the space.

A beautiful simple bath, but I don't know if I have the luxury of open sinks. Where will I store all of my makeup?!

Again the marble tiles on the wall! But is it too permanent?!

If I didn't need a tub, the shower below would be spectacular.

California Dreamin

I'm getting the design itch again...

My bedroom could totally sport this look by Jay Jeffers. I love the curtains, the headboards, the walls. I just don't understand the two huge butter/beige ovals painted on the walls...

I have a lot of green dominating the downstairs of my house with touches of blue. I'm feeling shades of grey and blue upstairs.

I might add a dash -just a dash - of this...

It reminds me of this painting by Scott Ingram I picked up in Atlanta. The best thing I brought home.

Now onto the bath...

Name That Couch

What are these kinds of couches called? This has been driving me crazy for a while. I always refer to them as round couches. I'm sure there's a chic name I'm completely unaware of.

I'm always reminded when I visit The Grove. I love sitting on the big comfy couch that would never fit in mi casa.

BTW, I'm not the crazy person who bundles up in the summer. This photo was taken months ago when it was still a bit chilly.

Now you realize how long this question has been haunting me!

1960's Stunners

These rooms are featured in Interior Decoration A to Z, written in 1965 by Betty Pepis.

The first shot reminds me of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes. Masculine & classic.

The Eames chair in the second photo is on my wishlist.

Indoor-outdoor spaces are so much fun. I love the room, but the patio-style chairs don't look comfortable. I like cozy chairs.

How about this modern version depicted on DWR's website? I love how the pool appears to go inside & out.

Juicy Jeffers

Jay Jeffers has some of the coolest design... He's like Tinkerbell. It's like he sprinkles pixie dust on everything he touches.

Isn't this the coolest baby's room?
